About Karen C.

I have had the pleasure of cats as roommates since bringing home my first stray at age 10. I have had a series of amazing, bonded pairs over the years who have enjoyed long, healthy lives. I can’t imagine living without their companionship and unique personalities. I’ve just retired from a long career in elementary education, and look forward to getting to know a bigger variety of kitties working for The Comforted Kitty. I’ve done a lot of cat sitting for friends and family, and love spending time with cats. I know cats are most comfortable in their own homes with their familiar spots and routines when their humans are away and look forward to caring for yours.

"Karen C recently cared for my two cats which required following special instructions because of my foster cat's unique eating behaviors. She was able to draw both cats out and interact with them each day which was wonderful since they can be shy around strangers. Daily updates kept me apprised of how things were going and adjustments she made to ensure both cats were taken care of. And I returned home to happy cats and everything in its place. This was my first time with the Comforted Kitty. The app provides a one stop shop for scheduling, providing instructions, receiving daily updates (including a notification when Karen had arrived) and invoicing which I really liked. And it was easy to update when I needed to make a change. The ability to have a separate bio on each cat so I could provide info on their diet, behavior, who to contact etc. was very useful. And I could reach out to staff who quickly helped with administrative questions. All in all a really good intro and experience! I have already booked my next service with The Comforted Kitty and Karen C."

She even took some treats and fresh catnip for him while she was trying to make friends. She cleaned up after a little mess he made, and she wash his bowls at the end of her visits.
