About Lana H.

Hi! I’m Lana. As a child, I used to pretend to be cat (drinking from a bowl without a barbed tongue is difficult!), so it was only natural that I became a cat owner as an adult. I’ve had my own cats since 2010, in addition to helping friends and siblings take care of their own cats in the years since, and I’ve seen the good, bad, and ugly that cat ownership entail — and I *still* love them. I have only one tattoo (currently), of the hieroglyphic word for “cat” (“miw”), which combines two of my passions, cats and ancient Egypt (I got my MA in ancient Egyptian art).
