Hi there! My name is Silas Riggs, my pronouns are he/him. I’m an experienced cat owner/handler/sitter with about 15 or so years under my belt. I’ve always loved cats and after owning my first cat, Smokey, I was hooked on caring for, and owning them. In my years, I’ve learned everything about cats from behaviors, language, breed types, and specialised care. I started fostering kittens and neonates in my teen years and began pet-sitting as early as 13 years old. Among my friends and family, I’m the person to go to whenever someone has a cat care question or needs advice on aiding neonatal kittens. In my freetime, aside from drawing mine and my friend’s pets, I also enjoy creating costumes, writing, and working on cars and have been doing so once I could properly hold a pencil. My favorite thing about cats is how similar they are to myself. Being an individual with autism and adhd, many of my behaviors closely match up with cats: (i.e. avoiding eye contact, not enjoying social settings too much, and having strong sensory aversions/preferences). It is also remarkably easy to understand their boundaries through body language and I believe there is no such thing as a bad kitty, only a misunderstood kitty.
