Hello, I’m Natalie! a fashion designer and multi-media artist with a lifelong passion for animals, especially cats. Growing up in a small central California town, I cared for a variety of pets in my childhood home, but it was cats that I had the most affinity towards. I view cats as not only our pets, but our companions in life. I believe the human and animal connection is one of the greatest joys and I never miss the opportunity to connect with animals; whether it’s observing wildlife on a hike, or taking the time to stop on my daily walks to pet a neighborhood cat. I had the chance in my early adulthood to work at a non-profit thrift store for an animal shelter. I loved working there knowing the funds would benefit a shelter, and was always thrilled to visit customers who would visit with their different animals. I’ve pet-sit cats for family and friends, and have had seven cats of my own throughout my life.
At my home in Berkeley, I currently share my life with Onyx, a sweet Bombay, and Pillow, an eccentric Russian Blue, both rescued from Oakland’s shelter. I enjoy reading about cat’s history and their behavior, leading me to strengthen the quality of understanding I have for cats and the level of care I can give. Beyond my design work and hobbies like yoga and painting, I prioritize quality time with my cats, recently delving into clicker-training to further strengthen our close bond. You can count on me to be knowledgeable and attentive to the vast variety of cat personalities.
