I’ve loved cats my entire life and as your sitter I will provide calm, consistent and detail-oriented care tailored to each cat’s personality, whether they’re affectionate, playful, independent, shy or spicy. I believe there are no “bad” cats, only cats who are fearful, have complex histories, or who are trying to communicate their boundaries.
I adapt to each cat’s personality, whether your cat wants to snuggle, play, or be left alone, I will meet them where they’re at, and will follow your instructions to the t.
I’m comfortable with playful kittens all the way to super seniors with special health needs. I can provide medication in form of pills, topical treatments and injections.
It was the passing of my cat Leroy at the ripe age of 21, that made me realize —after almost two decades working in journalism—, that I now wanted to work with animals. I started volunteering with the SFSPCA as a cat socializer at their adoption shelter, and last year was hired as a Community Ambassador, providing free vaccines and other preventive health treatments for pets in underserved communities. And when I come home after a long day, my own kitties, Ozzy and Freya, bring me lots of comfort and laughter.
I believe that, while animals can’t speak, they find ways to tell us what they need, and as their humans it’s on us to listen closely to their signs.
