Hi! I’m Kellie—a lifelong animal lover, experienced pet caretaker, and full-time giver of chin scritches and belly rubs.
I’ve cared for animals throughout my life, including more than 20 years of experience looking after cats and dogs of all ages, personalities, and care needs. I currently share my home with two very opinionated cats: Karma, a tortie with strong CEO energy, and Bukowski, a sweet orange boy with poet-in-residence vibes.
Over the years, I’ve cared for friends’, neighbors’, and clients’ pets—from shy rescues and energetic pups to senior animals with medication schedules and specialized routines. I’m gentle, patient, and attentive, and I enjoy taking the time to understand each pet’s personality, earn their trust, and help them feel safe in my care.
My experience also includes supporting unhoused neighbors with their pets, volunteering as a chicken caretaker at the Sonoma Ecology Center, and highlighting local animal rescue efforts through my writing. Whether I’m managing meals, medications, litter boxes, walks, enrichment, behavior quirks, or detailed household instructions, I take every aspect of pet care seriously.
Outside of pet sitting, I’m a writer, photographer, and nature enthusiast who enjoys hiking, birding, yoga, and reading with a warm cup of tea—ideally with a purring cat or relaxed pup nearby. I’m responsible, communicative, and detail-oriented, and my clients especially appreciate the thoughtful updates and photos I send while they’re away.
I’d love the opportunity to care for your cat or dog and make sure they feel safe, loved, and truly comforted while you’re away.
