I offer thoughtful, attentive care that meets each cat where they are, whether that means gentle companionship, playful interaction, or simply being a calm and reassuring presence. Life at home is lively thanks to my three cats: a shy long-term companion, a former streetwise stray turned affectionate shadow, and a quirky senior with strong opinions. I’m certified in pet first aid through Berkeley Humane and have looked after all kinds of animals, parrots, rabbits, fish, and for the past decade, cats through pet sitting and local feral colonies As a student of Traditional Chinese Medicine, I bring a steady presence and a trained eye for subtle changes in behavior. Small shifts in appetite, litter box habits, or energy levels don’t go unnoticed. Communication with guardians is always clear, timely, and respectful. I take pride in maintaining your home with care and to ensure your feline feels safe, seen, and nurtured while you’re away. When not on a cat visit, I enjoy hiking, painting, and capturing quiet moments through mobile photography.

"Kara watched my two older cats for the first time earlier this year. I was very nervous for my trip because I wouldn't have access to a phone or email and my cats are older and have some bathroom problems. Kara made me feel safe to go on my trip and took wonderful care of my cats. When I got back online, there were daily updates with pictures and I saw that she professionally dealt with some litter box and vomit accidents my cats had while I was gone. Cancellation Policy: Cancellation submitted less than 48 hours, next scheduled sitting is charged

Thanksgiving/Christmas Holiday Cancellations: Less than 7 days notice: 50% of deposit forfeited

Short Notice Requests: Less than 48 hours from start of sitting: $20 fee
