About Lori B.

Hi, my name is Lori. I’ve had a passion for animals my entire life. It started as a child with my own cats, dogs, horses, goats, bunnies, and pocket pets. I have a Bachelors degree in Equine Science and became a Licensed Veterinary Technician. I worked in veterinary medicine for about 20 years and have extensive experience with small animals, large animals, farm animals, exotic animals, and in emergency/intensive care. I was a volunteer puppy raiser for Guide Dogs for the Blind for many years and I have helped train several working guide dogs. I’ve trained and shown horses for more than 40 years. Although I now work in human medicine I still have that same passion for caring for animals. I will bring that passion and love of animals when caring for your fur baby.

"We had never left our cat for more than 24 hrs before, and we have a week-long trip coming up that we couldn’t bring our cat with us. "Lori watched our three cats while we were gone and did a excellent job. She overcommunicated, provided pictures and video. The cats enjoyed their time with her and when returned it was clear she made to sure to clean up any unexpected messes from the cat. We have already booked her for another trip in the future. "This service is amazing and we LOVE our cat sitter Lori. She comes to the house and spends 30 minutes (or more if you choose) to feed the cats, clean their boxes, play with them, give them pets, etc. My cats love Lori--they always greet her at the door, follow her around, and play with her. She provides lots of photos and videos of her time with the cats which we look forward to when we're traveling. This service gives us a great peace of mind while we're away. I also used this company when I lived in Los Angeles and loved my cat sitters there, too, so I know they value hiring top notch sitters who love animals. Thank goodness for The Comforted Kitty!"

"We are so grateful to The Comforted Kitty and especially to our sitter, Lori! We just moved to the area and our two cats, who have always gotten along, started fighting. We are having to keep them separate and slowly reintroduce them. We were so anxious about going away for the weekend with the cats not getting along. I'm sooo glad we decided to go with The Comforted Kitty instead of having a friend feed them. Lori was so wonderful with the cats and so communicative with us the whole time we were away. "Lori came and sat for my two boys and I was beyond impressed and happy with her. She made sure to send me lots of pictures and videos and one of my boys will only go to me for pets and she sent me a video of her petting him and loving on him that he was so happy to get from her! "We recently used The Comforted Kitty for the first time during a 3-day trip. Our sitter, Lori, came a week beforehand for a meet-and-greet with our two cats. She was amazing. She knew exactly how to treat cautious kitties and allowed them to sniff her and become comfortable with her presence. She took notes on their feeding and bathroom routines and the quirks of their personalities. During her 45-min visits, she took lots of photos and videos, which helped us feel secure knowing the cats were doing well. We'll definitely have Lori sit for us again on all future trips!"

Thanksgiving/Christmas Holiday Cancellations: Less than 14 days notice: 50% of deposit forfeited

Short Notice Requests: Less than 48 hours from start of sitting: $20 fee
