Hello! My name is Candi. Animals are my true lifelong passion, and dogs have been the center of my world for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by dogs—including child-friendly Dobermans—which taught me from an early age how to respect, handle, and bond with large, intelligent breeds. Today, my heart belongs to rescue work. I am a proud pet parent to four rescue dogs of my own, a diverse pack that includes a Belgian Malinois, a Husky, an Akita/Border Collie mix, and a Pomeranian. I know firsthand that every dog has a unique personality, history, and set of needs.
My Advanced Experience & Skills
• Shelter & Rehabilitation Work: I have fostered through The Las Vegas Animal Foundation in Las Vegas, focusing heavily on rehabilitation and training to prepare dogs physically and emotionally for successful adoption.
• Rescue & Rehabilitation: Deeply experienced with rescue dogs, including those who may be nervous, fearful, or learning to trust.
• Service Training for Veterans: My rescue work goes beyond standard care; I have collaborated with rescue organizations to foster and train dogs destined to become service animals for veterans.
• Expert Breed & Pack Management: From a high-drive Malinois and a vocal Husky to an analytical Akita mix and a spirited Pomeranian, I am incredibly skilled at managing multi-dog households, understanding unique breed temperaments, and maintaining a safe, structured environment.
• Proactive Peace of Mind: Because of my deep intuition with canine body language, health, and anxiety, your pet is in the safest possible hands. You will receive regular photo and text updates during every stay.
